Fees
Therapy and Assessment
Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes and are prorated for shorter or longer sessions at a rate of $320 for 50 min. Payment is due at the end of each session.
The cost of assessment varies depending on the scope of the evaluation, but typically falls into the $4000-$9000 range. I charge per hour of face-to-face time as well as for time spent scoring, interpreting, summarizing and writing.
Phone Consultation
I provide a free 20-minute phone consultation to answer questions about how I work and to get a sense of your unique needs so we can determine if working together is the right next step.
Good Faith Estimate
If we begin working together, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. I will provide you with this as part of your intake paperwork. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For more questions or more information about your rights to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Cancellation Policy
Please notify me at least 48 hours prior to your appointment to cancel or reschedule to avoid paying the hourly rate.
Insurance Reimbursement
Although I do not accept insurance, I can provide a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement to your insurance company. Services include individual therapy (90791, 90834, 90837), psychological assessment (96130/96131, 96136/96137), family therapy (90846, 90847) and telehealth visits (modifier -95).
To find out what you may be reimbursed, contact your insurance and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
Am I covered for therapy and psychological assessment services?
How many sessions are covered per year, and is pre-authorization required?
What is my annual deductible, and have I met it?
How much will I be reimbursed per session for an out-of-network provider?
