Fees

Therapy and Assessment

Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes and are prorated for shorter or longer sessions at a rate of $300 for 50 min. Payment is due at the end of each session.

The cost of assessment varies depending on the scope of the evaluation, but typically falls into the $2500-$8500 range. I charge per hour of face-to-face time as well as for time spent scoring, interpreting, summarizing and writing.

Good Faith Estimate

If we begin working together, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. I will provide you with this as part of your intake paperwork. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For more questions or more information about your rights to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Phone Consultation

I provide a free 20-minute phone consultation to answer questions about how I work and to get a sense of your unique needs so we can determine if working together is the right next step.

Cancellation Policy

Please notify me at least 48 hours prior to your appointment to cancel or reschedule to avoid paying the hourly rate.

Insurance Reimbursement

Although I do not accept insurance, I can provide you with a statement of services for you to submit for reimbursement to your insurance company.

Insurance plans vary widely so it is important to know the following information about your particular plan if you would like to seek reimbursement:

  • Do you have mental health benefits?

  • Can you get reimbursed for seeing an "out-of-network" provider?

  • Does your insurance reimburse for therapy and assessment services (billing codes: 90791, 90834, 90837, 90846, 90847, 96130, 96131, 96137, 96136) and tele-health visits (modifier code: -95)?

  • How many psychotherapy sessions per year does your insurance cover?

  • How much will you be reimbursed per session for an "out-of-network" provider?

  • What is your annual deductible and have you met this already?

  • Do you need pre-authorization?
